Tattoo

I got my first tattoo when I was twenty. It was the year 2012 and I had just started my first semester at university in back home and I felt like I needed to step out of my comfort zone and do something, nobody expected me to go through with. My first tattoo was a tiny music note behind my ear. Rebellious, I know. But, it was not about being rebellious or showing everyone, that I did something in that matter. I got that particular tattoo, because I wanted it for myself. Music saved my life and the relationship I have with music is personal and I wanted to express that on myself, through my skin, but I did not necessarily wanted to share that with the world in an obvious matter.
My second tattoo I gave myself as a birthday present in 2015, for my twenty third birthday.  This time I got a tattoo in my forearm, a spot, where it can actually be seen. This time, I was trying to send a message to the world. I got a lipstick with the banner "war paint". That tattoo sends a feminist message, which is a very important cause to me, and anyone, who knows me a little, knows I am obsessed with lipstick (I own about seventy).
My tattoos both have meaning to me and are telling a story about me, without having to say a word.

3D to 2D

I decided to make an album cover using my Memento project as inspiration. I named the album monumental, because that is the impression I had of the environment in Monument valley. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the Illustration of the object, and set in on a solid colored background on top of a geometric form (circle). This give the cover a more graphic feature. I chose the deep red, because it also reminded me of the dirt of the desert, which is home to Monument Valley.

Three Balsa Wood Statues

These three Balsa wood sculptures were based on the effort to create something non-representational. I enjoyed coming up with the concept for these, which were largely based on geometric forms and different textures combining to three small sculptures. I am very interested in exploring textures in combination with architectural concepts, such as geometric forms. This is why I chose to use many different materials, like masking tape and clear tape, wood and wood chips, wood glue, paper and pins. The cube formed sculpture is about the size of 8x8x8 inches, the Tower is about 3 inches x 9 inches, and the pyramide shaped sculpture is about 5x5x3 inches.
